What accomplishment are you most proud of: Being crowned the 2009 XTERRA New England Trail Run Series Regional Champion and finishing 4th out of 36 in the Men’s 30-34 Age Group at the 2009 XTERRA Trail Running World Championship in Oahu, HI.

 

What’s the craziest experience you’ve ever had with XTERRA (traveling, racing or training)? Climbing Mt. Fuji (12,388ft), the day after finishing in the top 25% OA at the extremely grueling XTERRA Japan Championship - Trail Run 30km, held in Oku-Nikko Marunuma, within the mountains of the ancient province of Gunma "Samurai Country", that consisted of several steep climbs up to almost 9,000ft, via single track trails!

 

What’s the best thing about racing? Traveling to interesting and exotic places, the adventure, adrenaline rushes, meeting new people, hanging out with friends, the competition, seeing new things, and post-race partying!

 

What is the coolest piece of gear you own? Compex Sport Elite Muscle Stimulator - It's great for muscle recovery and helps me get ready quickly for another XTERRA race!

 

Role model/Inspiration/Favorite athlete: Muhammad Ali and my Dad

 

What do you do when you aren't training/racing? Traveling, culture, ethnic food, current events, skiing, hiking, avid outdoorsman, spending time at my camp in the mountains, R&B and Jazz concerts, everything Penn State, watching the Steelers, nightlife, driving fast, photography, art, coffee, hanging out with good friends and family.

 

Which 2011 XTERRA races do you plan to attend? XTERRA Ohio Trail Run Series, XTERRA Xduro Richmond, XTERRA Poconos, XTERRA Japan, XTERRA Trail Run Nationals, and XTERRA Trail Run Worlds.

 

Favorite XTERRA venue: XTERRA Trail Running World Championship, held in the majestic Kaaawa Valley at Kualoa Ranch, is a truly exhilarating experience!

 

Dreaded XTERRA venue: XTERRA STOAKED Trail Run - 16km in Hanover, NH – the immediate climb is a killer!
