XTERRA Heads to Hibernia Park for Off-Road Adventure

RACE #2 IN THE 2008 XTERRA PHILLY TRAIL RUN SERIES

XTERRA returns to the Philadelphia area for the XTERRA Hibernia Park Blast Trail Run 5k on May 21. This second race of the 2008 XTERRA Philly Trail Run Series will take place on the beautiful trails of Hibernia Park in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

Runners will scramble over 3 miles of wooded trails, open fields and root-lined dirt paths in this extreme off-road challenge. Set within the 900 acre park, the XTERRA Hibernia Park Blast Trail Run will lead athletes over mud, up steep hills, down gentle slopes, over rolling streams, and through a maze of shaded forest.

Athletes are encouraged to bring the entire family for an evening filled with entertainment. The event features fun for everyone with a post-race pizza party and play areas for the kids.

The second of five races in the 2008 XTERRA Philly Trail Run Series, runners will be out in full force to accumulate points toward their series total. The first race, the XTERRA Warwick Park Revenge on May 7, will be the first opportunity for runners to display their trail running skills, but athletes will be out for revenge at this second chance to dominate their field.

Athletes finishing the series with top points will earn free entry to the XTERRA National Trail Running Championship on September 27 in Bend, OR. From there, runners will have the opportunity to compete in the XTERRA Trail Running World Championship on December 7 in Hawaii. For more information, visit www.xterratrailrun.com.
