XTERRA Returns to Philly for a Ruckus

RACE #3 IN THE 2008 XTERRA PHILLY TRAIL RUN SERIES

XTERRA is returning to Pottstown, PA June 4 for the XTERRA Warwick Park Ruckus 5k, an extreme, off-road trail run expedition.

For the second time, XTERRA will be invading the Warwick County Park to give local athletes a trail running adventure full of winding dirt trails, ankle-testing roots and treacherous gravel roads. Miles of grassy fields and gentle slopes along rock-covered routes will pave the 3-mile course each runner will travel to the finish.

Runners are encouraged to bring the entire family for the summer evening event. A post-race pizza party, a play area for the kids, and a beautiful backdrop set the stage for this festival for all ages.

Prizes will be given to the top three runners in each age group and t-shirts will be given to the first 150 participants to sign up, so early registration is strongly recommended.

The XTERRA Warwick Park Ruckus Trail Run is the third of five races in the 2008 Philly Trail Run Series, so runners will certainly be out in full force ready to earn more points to their series total. The athletes with top series points will earn free entry to this year’s XTERRA National Trail Running Championship on September 27 in Bend, Oregon. From there, runners can say aloha to the XTERRA Trail Running World Championship on December 7 in the majestic and beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii.
