XTERRA Ventures to Victoria Bryant for New Trail Run

RACE #4 IN 2010 XTERRA GEORGIA TRAIL RUN SERIES

With the ever-growing popularity of the XTERRA Georgia Trail Run Series, race director Tim Schroer is always on the lookout for adventurous and exciting venues to hold new events. Premiering on November 29th, the newest XTERRA Trail Run explores one of northern Georgia’s best kept secrets within the rolling hills of Royston’s Victoria Bryant State Park.

Just three days after Thanksgiving, the XTERRA Victoria Bryant Trail Run offers the perfect way to get back on the fitness track after a day full of indulgence. The 10-kilometer course offers an even mix of challenging climbs, rugged roots, technical single track, and breathtaking scenery. This is truly an experience Georgia runners wanting to “Ditch the City” will not want to miss.

Also a reminder that coming up this Sunday in Roswell’s urban trail system is the XTERRA Battle at Big Creek Trail Run. As predicted by race director Tim Schroer, the race field maxed out early with 350 runners eager to line up at the start and earn points toward their 2010 XTERRA Georgia Trail Run Series totals. Those finishing the season with top scores will be crowned XTERRA Regional Champions and receive free entry to the XTERRA Trail Running National Championship next fall. When: Sunday, November 29, 2009 – 8:30am
Where: Victoria Bryant State Park (1105 Bryant Park Road, Royston, GA 30662)
Entry Fee: $30 until November 15 / $35 Late / $40 Race Day Registration
Awards: Medals and prizes to overall top 3 male and female finishers. Medals to top 3 male and female finishers in each age group. Dri-Fit shirts will also be guaranteed for all early registrants.
