Philly Runners Get Set to Start XTERRA Series

RACE #1 IN THE 2010 XTERRA PHILLY TRAIL RUN SERIES

Hundreds of Philadelphia area athletes raced in last year’s XTERRA Philly Trail Run Series, and on May 5th the season finally starts again with the XTERRA Warwick Park Revenge Trail Run in Pottstown, PA. This five kilometer adventure kicks off a five-race series with courses building up to the main, pinnacle, half-marathon distance finale on July 18th.

The XTERRA Warwick Park Revenge Trail Run features a dirty mix of muddy trails, gravel roads, loose rocks, twisting roots and calf-screaming climbs and is uniquely refreshing with its weeknight time slot. Along with a rewarding, challenging, and beautiful race course, the event also boasts a great large prize raffle and a free post-race pizza party.

As race number one in the 2010 XTERRA Philly Trail Run Series, this is the first chance for runners to earn points toward their season totals.

Those with the highest scores at the end of the fifth race will be crowned XTERRA Philly Regional Champions and win free entry into the XTERRA Trail Running National Championship on September 18th in the trail runners’ paradise of Bend, Oregon.
