XTERRA Georgia Finale Heads for Deep South

RACE #6 IN THE 2010 XTERRA GEORGIA TRAIL RUN SERIES

Over 700 athletes have competed in the 2010 XTERRA Georgia Trail Run Series, and on June 5th, it all comes down to the season finale to crown the winners. The XTERRA Deep South Trail Run heads for Jackson’s Dauset Trails for the series’ sixth and final race.

Race director Tim Schroer designed the 15-kilometer course full of great single and double track off-road running experiences. Rolling hills, challenging climbs and some serious technical sections will test runners of all levels as they compete in this first-rate finale.

Runners like Gainesville’s Alex Petcu, Lilburn’s Robert Johnston, and Woodstock’s Suzanne Broussard have competed in all five of the previous trail runs in hopes of being crowned XTERRA Regional Champions and earning their free entry into the XTERRA Trail Running National Championship on September 18th in Bend, Oregon. The XTERRA Deep South Trail Run will be the final stop on their journey.

Then on December 5th, Georgia runners are invited to join the ultimate international start list at the XTERRA Trail Running World Championship on the exotic Hawaiian island of Oahu. No qualification is necessary, so all are welcome to race at the breathtaking Kualoa Ranch which has played host to famous major productions like Jurassic Park, Godzilla and LOST.

XTERRA Deep South Trail Run Race Information

When: Saturday, June 5, 2010 – 8:30am
Where: Dauset Trails (360 Mount Vernon Road, Jackson, GA 30233)
Awards: Medals and prizes to overall top 3 male and female finishers. Medals to top 3 male and female finishers in each age group. Dri-Fit shirts guaranteed for early registrants.
Entry Fee: $35 until May 25 / $40 Late / $45 on Race Day
