XTERRA Northern Ohio Series Ready to Resume

Two races coming up in August

After a one-month break, the XTERRA Northern Ohio Trail Run Series will resume with two races in the month of August.

The XTERRA Girdled Road 10K Trail Run is set for Saturday, Aug. 6, at the Girdled Road Reservation in Concord Township, Ohio. According to the race directors, the course is not technical, but it will include several substantial climbs.

Following that race, the series will move to Boston Township, Ohio, for the XTERRA Oak Hill Trail Run on Aug. 27. That race will feature a scenic 8-kilometer course at the Oak Hill Trailhead of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

Both the Girdled Road Trail Run and the Oak Hill Trail Run are open to runners of all ages and skill levels.

Both races will offer points for the 2011 XTERRA Northern Ohio Trail Run Series. At the end of the series in September, the age group champions will receive a free entry to the 2011 XTERRA Trail Run National Championship at Ogden, Utah, On Sept. 25.
