Last Chance for Points in America Tour

The XTERRA America Tour regular season comes to a close this weekend with these five Points Series races...

Aug. 27 - XTERRA Dairyland (Sheboygan, WI)
Aug. 27 - XTERRA Lake Tahoe (Incline Village, NV)
Aug. 27 - XTERRA Lory (Bellvue, CO)
Aug. 28 - XTERRA Magnolia Hill (Navasota, TX)

These races represent the last chance for amateurs to collect points to a) qualify for the USA Championship in Utah on Sept. 24, and b) secure their spot as the highest point-scorer in their age group and win the coveted XTERRA Regional Championship title.

On the other side of the country awaits the Big Blue and the course so many have known through the years as the trail of champions.  This cold-water swim in crystal clear Lake Tahoe, the famous Flume Trail on the mountain bike, and the twisting trail run through the trees in Incline Village was a rite of passage for the sports’ best from 2001-2008. And while the XTERRA USA Championship is now firmly routed in Utah, the importance of this event as the last point series race in the West is undeniable.  The age group battles for qualifying spots to nationals and regional championship titles should be terrific, with so many of the sports best riders facing off in a prelude to the season finale.
