Race Course
500 meter swim / 10k mountain bike / 5k trail run

Oak Mountain State Park, the largest state park in Alabama, boasts nearly 10,000 acres of outdoor recreational playground and promises to be a great place for competitors to bring the whole family with mountains, lakes, and forests for hiking, biking, and fishing, a well-developed golf course and a riding stable. There are hundreds of campsites and cabins for rent, and the park is just a half-hour south of the historic and bustling city of Birmingham.
The course is classic XTERRA, with roots and rocks on twisting and rolling trails, a mix of single track and double track. The major death climbs are a thing of the past. This year, there’s still one good climb, but then it gets super scenic as it crosses the road and picks up the new lake trail that circles Double Oak.

Volunteers
Our dedicated team of volunteers across the US and abroad has been key to bringing the XTERRA experience to more people in more places. As the sport grows the need for volunteers increases. This year we need people to help with pre-race and race-day activities. Please e-mail our volunteer coordinator. Tell us what you're interested in doing and what you're availability is. We'll try to find a place for you at XTERRA. We hope you can join us at this year's XTERRA Southeast Championship.
