Trails and Lifts in the Bike Zones
One of the greatest problems of a biker? It’s to find the lifts and the trails closed. From now on, you’ll be no more afraid of knowing which trails and lifts are open at this moment in the Dolomiti Paganella Bike Zones.
Just check it through the Bike ZONE link here: [Link]
You are at the entrance of the Brenta Dolomites, in front of you the mountain peaks are mirrored in the deep blue waters of Lake Molveno.
The landscape is enchanting thanks to the surrounding green expanses of fir and beech forests.
You are in Molveno, a beautiful town on the shores of the Lake of the same name, 864 m above sea level.
In Molveno nature and well-being are protected and treated with respect as two great treasures.
It is a tourist town steeped in ancient traditions where hospitality is very important: the historic centre is closed to traffic, the park is equipped to entertain children, the beach and the Olympic swimming pool are carefully maintained, hotels, residential hotels, private apartments and camping sites on the beach offer accommodation of the highest quality.
You love water: there's more than your fair share here, in addition to the Lake there are streams and small waterfalls. The combination of mountain and lake allows you to add exciting water sports to your agenda, in addition to mountain activities.
You love walking: the Alpine climate influenced by the presence of the Lake is always mild, suitable for long walks in the countryside with the spectacular scenery of the Dolomites as a backdrop.
You are looking for the Bandiera Arancione (Orange Flag): it is a recognition of quality awarded by the Touring Club Italiano to small towns for excellence in tourism, hospitality and the environment. Molveno was awarded this flag in 2006.
To become a champion you need to be born in Molveno.
What does this mean? With just over a thousand inhabitants, it has produced numerous young sports champions at the highest level in several sports: paragliding, Nordic skiing, Alpine skiing and mountain running.
Could it be due to the air and healthy cuisine?
Lake Molveno is a concentration of blue with all the other colours surrounding it.
Colours vary according to nature and the seasons, and when combined create a magic difficult to replicate anywhere else.
This is where, many of the summer and water sport activities are concentrated: the beach is considered the most beautiful in Trentino, because of the extensive, well-kept English lawn on the lakeshore.
The lake is perfect for bathing as the water temperature during the summer season ranges from 14 to 21 degrees. Bring your dog, you'll both have fun in the water, there's only a short stretch of beach near the harbour where this is forbidden.
Lake Molveno is the ideal habitat for the Salmerino Alpino (Artic Char), a precious fish that lives only in deep, fresh and clean waters, just like these!
You must try at least once to go all around the lake so that you don't miss breathtaking views such as the full view of Molveno lying at the foot of the Brenta Dolomites.
In this way you'll also discover small, less popular beaches.
It will take about two and a half hours on foot, walking at a regular pace, if cycling from the harbour to the other end of the lake it will take you about an hour. If you're feeling lazy then go on a motor boat and take all the time you want!

Between the peaks of the Brenta Dolomites and the pine forests of Mount Paganella there is Andalo, a mountain village located at 1040 m above sea level, 40 km away from Trento, a broad connecting saddle (the lowest area between two highlands) between the Val di Non and Banale.
In Andalo there are hotels, residences, apartments and not only that, you are spoilt for choice regarding leisure and sports activities as well as culture, shows and musical events.
Relaxation or active holiday? No need to pick one! Here you will find everything you need to combine moments of well-being and tranquility with those moments full of adrenaline and fun.
Ideal in summer for hiking, mountain biking or horse riding, perfect in winter for skiing thanks to its convenient ski lifts allowing you to enjoy 50 km of ski slopes.
In winter, Paganella's skiing facilities offer 50 km of slopes for ski and snowboard enthusiasts.
You will be able to enjoy Andalo Life, a vast 100,000 m2 modern sports and recreational complex, which includes: ice rink, conference centre, swimming pools, park, tennis courts, football pitch, boules courts, basketball court, horse riding centre, rock climbing gym and camping.
You have children: Andalo is a family-friendly place with many facilities perfect for children.
You love sport: full of attractions and incentives for movement, there's no shortage of possibilities for doing sports and physical activity here!
You want the latest services: Andalo is a young resort equipped with efficient and modern infrastructures.
From a group of scattered farmsteads to a residential area. The settlement dates back to the Middle Ages: the first settlers came from Banale and Giudicarie from the Andalo mountain.
The "Anderlesi", the inhabitants of Andalo, are very busy and enthusiastic people. To remind everyone who passes through here and to celebrate this way of life, there is a bronze monument displayed in Piazza Centrale of a woodcutter in a dynamic pose intent on doing his job, with an axe in one hand and a piece of wood in the other.
The work of art is inspired by the famous saying "Ntant che pòlsest va a tagliar su legna" (while you rest chop a bit of wood!) and incorporates their way of dealing with life, their industriousness and their strong sense of identity.

Cut-off exit T1: 12:25
The bike course is a 2-lap course of 16K each.
After a first 3K flat loop around the lake on a narrow single track (be patient if you are stuck in the traffic, you will have plenty of time to make the difference in the following uphill…), the course rises for the next 7 kilometers with a mix of large gravel trail and some more rocky, steeper parts, sometimes with rocks, to hit the highest point of the course at kilometer 10.
From that point it will only be downhill until the end of the loop, with a first part quite easy with good grip and a second part more technical with roots and rocks that can be slippery in rainy conditions before riding through Molveno village and getting into the field of play with wooden ramps and all the spectators cheering you on.

XTERRA is proud to have a continued commitment to sustainable racing as we strive to reduce our carbon footprint, minimise our environmental impact, and protect the places we play.
In an effort to minimise the use of plastics at the World Championship event, only biodegradable cups and reusable water tanks will be used at aid stations, the finish line, and the recovery area, plastic course marking tape will be replaced by recyclable flags, and finishers will be presented with a trophy carved from recycled wood.
We urge all participants, family, and friends to join us in doing our part to leave no trace in the beautiful venue provided by the Molveno community.
Bring your own cup, choose bikes over cars, share rides where possible, avoid unnecessary plastics and waste, and please use the recycle bins available on site.
Together, we can create better races for the planet.
