ABOUT THE WORLD CUP
The XTERRA World Cup is a condensed series of full-distance and short track triathlons designed to bring the strongest possible field of elite athletes to 7 select locations in a points-based competition that spans 12 races spread across the XTERRA season.
Giving spectators a taste of the highest level of XTERRA racing, and elite athletes the chance to minimise travel and maximise reward, the XTERRA World Cup Series passes through the APAC, Americas, and EMEA regions before culminating at the the biggest race of them all - the XTERRA World Championship.
At stake is pride, glory, and a total of over $340,000 in prize money.

Scoring System
Series points are weighted according to the race format, and the XTERRA World Cup Champion title is awarded to the male and female athletes who finish the series with the highest total score across all XTERRA World Cup races throughout the season.

TIE BREAKERS
In the event of a tie in points at the end of the series, the tie-breaker will be the person with the most wins in the series. If still tied after counting wins, the person finishing highest in the most recent race where both competed. If no head-to-head exists, tie-breaker goes to the person finishing highest in the most recent race.
Prize Money
Each of the 11 World Cup races offers a prize purse that is weighted by discipline (full-distance or short track) and event status (championship or non-championship). Prize purses and series bonuses are both split evenly between the male and female categories, with all prize purses and bonuses paid in Euros, except for events in Taiwan and North America which are paid in US dollars.
To be eligible for the €100,000 XTERRA World Cup bonus, elites must race at least two of the three continental championship events.
