A top ten (10) Elite finisher at the European or World Triathlon Cross Triathlon Championship
1. The result must be less than 24-months-old
A top three (3) U23 finisher at the European Triathlon or World Triathlon Cross Triathlon Championship, result must be less than24-months-old.
Cross Triathlon Elite (or overall) Federal National Champion, result must be less than 24-months-old.
A top 3 finisher at the European Triathlon Cross Duathlon Championship, result must be less than 24-months-old.
Elite podium finisher for: IM Full Distance or IM 70.3, result must be less than 24-months-old.
Podium finisher at World Triathlon Series, World Triathlon World Cup or MTB World Cup (XC, XCO, XCM, XCC or Cyclo-cross), result must be less than 24-months-old.
Prior XTERRA Elite with strong results, but hasn’t raced during the past 2 years
1. Decision by XTERRA World Ranking committee
Additional considerations:
1. A written request from an interested athlete upon which the XTERRA World Ranking committee will decide
2. A request from an Elite or Professional athlete with significant international results from a discipline not
mentioned above.
Holders of Elite or Pro triathlon licences from their respective federation.
Athletes seeking elite status must send the XTERRA Elite committee sufficient evidence that they meet the above criteria, and provide the following documents;

A copy of their Triathlon License from a recognised Triathlon federation

Absent from XTERRA racing for 1 year+
Finish the last 3 races below 195 points

Male athletes with 207+ points
Female athletes with 204+ points
Can be an exception for athletes racing only once a year
Age Groupers 45+ (W) and 50+ (M) can decide themselves and won’t be forced
Men ending the season (December 31st) under 195 points
Women ending the season (December 31st) under 190 points

Top 3 athletes (XTERRA or National Cross-Triathlon) within their respective country
Having finished on the podium in a Silver race or top 5 in a Gold race over the past 2 years
Scoring ranking points in the World Cup in the last two seasons.
Not having raced XTERRA in the last 24 months, but having above 210 points (M) and 205 (W) prior to the absence
Any special case absent from this list will be reviewed by the XTERRA Performance Index committee (ex: case 3 above)
