The XTERRA Half-Marathon Championship is the culmination of the 2024 XTERRA Trail Run World Series season. This must-qualify event will welcome athletes from around the globe to line up against the best the XTERRA World has to offer and earn their piece of the $3,200 prize purse.

Must be present at the award ceremony to receive your award.
Medals will be given to the top three runners in each age group.
XTERRA TRAIL RUN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AGE GROUP AUTOMATIC QUALIFIER
All age group World Champions (1st Place) are offered the opportunity to defend their title at the following XTERRA Trail Run World Championship. The top three overall men and women will be given free entry to next year's event.
Price includes one (1) ticket to the XTERRA Trail Run World Championship Awards Dinner and event shirt per athlete.
All athletes racing in this category must qualify at one of our 2024 XTERRA Trail Run World Series races.
Athletes for the half marathon must be 10-years-old by 31 December 2024 to compete in this category.
If a competitor is unable to complete the race, they must inform a member of staff before the finish line and return their timing chip in order to be withdrawn completely.
Swapping timing chips with another competitor is strongly prohibited. If caught, both competitors will not be eligible for results.
If a competitor decides to overtake another competitor, please inform the competitor ahead of time via verbal cue. Blocking another competitor from overtaking is prohibited during the race.
Despite the nature of competition, all competitors must be aware of their health conditions at all times. Competitors’ safety is our number one priority. Judges and medical staff members have the right to inspect competitors' health conditions and suspend competitors from competing if they are declared medically unfit/at risk. Competitors are to obey the decision of our judges and medical professionals.
Competitors subject to health risks such as cardiac related disease, diabetes and other severe health conditions are prohibited from registering this event. Competitors are solely responsible for any health related accidents that occur during the event.
Competitors should be extra careful of their safety and race items during the test run. Please ensure test runs are done during the allocated time slots.
Littering is strongly prohibited during the race. Any rubbish or disposals should be disposed of at the designated disposal area (aid station disposal area).
Running or trekking poles will be allowed provided they do not impede the progress of or strike another competitor.
Competitors are prohibited from using MP3 players or any other head-mounted audio equipment during the race. If violated, the event organizers will disqualify the individual with immediate effect.
Swapping race bibs and registration ID with another competitor is strongly prohibited. If caught, both competitors will be disqualified.
Please be mindful of the safety of others during the race as well as maintain a respectful and courteous relationship with other participants, event staff members, judges, the medical staff, traffic controllers, and spectators.
Those participating in the race shall not question the decisions of the judges in real-time. Any objections to the outcome of the competition must be filed in writing within an hour after the end of the race.
In the event of a force majeure such as a typhoon before the competition, the event organizer has the right to decide whether or not to cancel the event or change the routes for the safety of competitors. Competitors may not contest such a decision; any such changes will be announced on the day of the event.
The event organizers have the right to amend the rules of the competition at any time. Any amendments will be announced on the official website and at the pre-race briefing.
For any emergency issues, please contact the organiser’s phone number 911. Our staff members and medical professionals will try our best with the resources available to diagnose the issue. If medical assistance is required, the patrol personnel are available throughout the course.
Competitors will not be given a hardcopy of the race guide. Please access the race guide via the official event website.
Once a competitor has finished their registration procedure, they may not change their name nor their race divisions.
Pets are not allowed during the race, but are welcome at the venue.
Competitors are encouraged to bring their own environmentally friendly cups, hydration packs or drinking vessels.
Maximum time on course is 6 hours.
Violators will be disqualified and withdrawn from the race if in the case of:
Supplying others with supplements.
Refusal to obey the judge's decision.
Failing to pin the race bib at the front.
Timing chips must be worn at the allocated location. Competitors who fail to do so will be disqualified.
Disrespecting judges, staff members & any other third party officials.
Taking short-cuts or any other routes that are not deemed as part of the official race route.
Any controversies regarding timing chip/result must be reported in accordance with the formal complaint procedure.
Violators will be disqualified and suspended for 3 years, with their name blacklisted on the website if found:
Aiding another competitor during the race such as offering rides, providing personal supplements, etc.
Registering the race under a false identity pass.
Demonstrating poor sportsmanship such as starting physical altercations & cussing at officials.
