The 2025 World Cup, decided in less than 40 minutes. A fast and furious battle for the final points of the season, expect all tanks to be emptied in a barnburner finish to settle the series beneath the staggering Dolomite Mountains.

With the World Championship race no longer part of the World Cup circuit, the series will, for the first time, end with an all-out, fast-format Short Track showdown. And few places could deliver a better finale. The Trentino Short Track course is known for its rapid-fire position changes, with both the 2023 and 2024 editions decided by a second or less. This is where the final points will be fought for in a flat-out sprint for titles and podium positions.

For the men, razor-thin margins mean even the slightest mistake could cost them the season. But digging deep at the right moment could change everything. Felix Forissier has been steadily climbing to the top of the leaderboard after sitting out the opening round. He now leads, but just 12 points ahead of his brother, Arthur Forissier, who’s had his eye on the title since day one.

For the women, it’s a victory lap for Marta Menditto, who has carved out an unassailable lead at the top. With the right to race safe now hers, the key battle shifts to Aneta Grabmüller, Hannah-Lee Young, and Emma Ducreux, as they fight for the final two spots on the overall podium.

The World Cup series finale will be livestreamed for free on the XTERRA YouTube channel, with the broadcast starting at 13:55 CET. The women’s race begins at 14:10, followed by the men at 15:10.

Athletes To Watch
Top contenders for the season finale.
Aneta Grabmuller
CZE
A standout in the Short Track format, and fresh off a win on home soil, Aneta Grabmüller comes into the final round with second place in the series on the line, and all the tools to hold it.
Solenne Billouin
FRA
The defending World Cup Champion enters this race as the ultimate disruptor. She’s not in contention for the overall podium, but she holds the power to deny crucial points to those who are.
Sebastian Neef
DEU
Sitting in third overall and on the verge of his best-ever season, Neef has been one of the most consistent performers in 2025. But with multiple athletes within striking distance, he’ll need one final big push to keep his place on the podium.
Felix Forissier
FRA
The defending World Cup champion has done everything right to earn the golden jersey with not a single finish outside the top three. Now in the lead in hand, his eye will be firmly on a second title.
Marta Menditto
ITA
No more points needed, no pressure left to carry. The Italian has already wrapped up the title, and now gets to enjoy a victory lap on home soil as the 2025 World Cup Champion.
Hannah Lee Young
AUS
Still in the mix for a season podium, the Aussie comes in chasing one last result. A fifth-place finish or better could see her jump into the top three, if she can hold off the big names that come with the final stop.
Arthur Forissier
FRA
The Frenchman has been consistent all year and now sits just 12 points off the top. He’ll need to beat his brother Felix and hope the numbers fall his way, but if anyone can spoil the script, it’s the ever-calculated Arthur Forissier.

WORLD CUP Series Info
The XTERRA World Cup is the world's premier off-road triathlon pro series, where the sport’s top elites go head-to-head in a condensed circuit of Full Distance and Short Track races. A points-based battle where every turn, climb, and descent matters, each race is a fight for a share of the series prize purse and the pursuit of becoming the next XTERRA World Cup Champion.

The 2025 World Cup will feature eight stops and 11 races across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America. With no joker rule in play, every race counts toward the overall standings. Full Distance races award series points to the top 30 finishers, with the winner claiming 100 points. Short Track races are invitation-only, featuring the top 30 qualifiers, with the winner earning the maximum 75 points.

The Short Track showdown in Trentino, Italy, will serve as the series finale, where the next XTERRA World Cup Champions will be crowned ahead of the 2025 XTERRA World Championship.
