The Kids Bike & Run invites young adventurers under 14 to get a taste of the XTERRA experience in a fun and friendly off-road format. This is a non-competitive event, and the short bike ride and trail run through Weston Park’s open spaces is all about movement, gaining confidence and having a great time on the trails. Families are encouraged to come along, cheer them on and be part of the day.
Taking place in and around the event village, the 2km bike and 1km run is nice and flat without too much in the way of technicality, so all bikes are welcome - although it's worth having some grippy tyres.
Registration is free! Parents may accompany those children who need a bit of support and a helping hand - but please make a judgment call whether you can keep up safely!
Finisher medals will be given to all kids as they cross the finish line.
