Sarawak is located on the island of Borneo.

Airports

Kuching International Airport (KCH) is the main gateway to southern Sarawak, with direct international flights from Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and other regional hubs such as Brunei and Jakarta, Indonesia.

Top tip! Airlines like Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia accept bike boxes. But always check their policies for size restrictions and any additional fees. Some bike shops, including the Sarawak Bike Shop in Kuching, can also help with packing or shipping bikes.

A. Valid identification must be provided during check-in.
B. Please ensure that the contents of your race package & your timing chip data are correct.
C. Failure to complete check-in in time results in automatic disqualification.

(4) Proxy check-in: The proxy should present a valid ID of the athlete and fill in the proxy declaration form.
(5) Athletes/ Proxies must check the race packs on-site. Any lost items will not be redistributed once they have departed the check-in area.

What will athletes received in Race Pack & Finish Pack?

Race Pack

Triathlon: Race Kit, T-shirt, Three transition bags, Swimming cap, Wristband, and a number bib.
XC - Mountain Bike: Race Kit, T-shirt, and number bib.

*Triathlon & MTB: athletes will collect their timing chips at T1 on race day.

Trail Marathon: Race Kit, and T-shirt.
Trail Half Marathon: Race Kit, and T-shirt.
Trail Run-13K: Race Kit, and T-shirt.
Trail Run-7K: Race Kit, and T-shirt.

*Trail Run participants: timing chip is included in the Race Kit, and will be received during athlete check-in.

Finish Pack

Each finisher will receive a finisher medal, and prize money (To Be Announced).

What time does the Mountain Bike check-in at the transition start?

Only triathlon participants need to check in their MTB.

XC participants please arrive to the start line on time. （Details are as follows)

Bike Inspection Procedure
Before making your way to the transition area, please make sure that you have all of the items below:
A. When checking your bike in, please show your race number bib, bike & safety helmet (with race number stickers already attached).
C. Bikes must be placed on each competitor's assigned rack. Please remember the location of your bike on the bike rack. Safety helmets should be placed on the bike. Other race related equipment, including cleats, sports glasses, protective gear, etc. should be put in transition bags.
* Please Note:
- (1) When entering the transition area, please put your helmet on and fasten the buckle to prepare for inspection.

XC - Mountain Race:

Location: Roxy Beach Resort (T1)
Time: 3rd May 2025 (Sat.) 08:10 – 08:25
Bike Inspection Procedure:
Before making your way to the Start area, please check to make sure that you have all of the items below:
- A. When checking your bike in, please show your race number bib, bike & safety helmet (with race number stickers already attached).
- B. If you need to adjust your bike, there will be bike mechanics on-site.
Competitors are not allowed to enter the transition area at any time other than the open hours.
Please do not leave your personal belongings in the transition area.
After leaving the transition area, competitors will have their race numbers checked and recorded by the staff.

What time is the Mountain Bike check-out from the transition?

Location: Pueh Youth Camp
Time: 3rd May 2025 (Sat.) 11:00-14:00
For identification, please show your wristband, arm tattoo and/or race bib. After signing the release form, you can collect your bike. Bikes cannot be collected outside of the open hours, so please make sure to come during the designated hours only.
After collecting your bike, event staff will take a picture of you and your equipment before leaving the transition area for proof of collection.

Where can I purchase extra dinner tickets?

For registered triathlon athletes, one entry for the Awards Dinner is included with your registration fee. Please wear the wristband included in your Race Pack and show it to the staff to attend the Awards Dinner.
* Only Triathlon includes a dinner ticket.

Extra tickets for family or friends need to be purchased through the registration platform.

* Please note that additional tickets are limited, so purchase early in order to avoid disappointment.

What is the refund policy?

All entries to XTERRA Borneo Sarawak are NON REFUNDABLE. In the unlikely event that the event is cancelled due to external factors, the event will be postponed to a later date that will be announced.
In addition, all entries are NON TRANSFERABLE and NON DEFERRABLE.
