The venue, Nenoue Highlands, is a plateau at an altitude of about 1000m that straddles Nakatsugawa City and Ena City in Gifu Prefecture. There are two lakes, Lake Nenoue and Lake Hokono, and you can enjoy various scenery throughout the seasons. Nakatsugawa City, the ancient capital of Gifu, is also famous as a tourist destination. Please enjoy sightseeing along with the race.

Swim
・You can make your way through by swimming or floating, or being carried away.
・You can take rests to perch on buoys or course rope during swim leg however, you cannot plow through by holding the coursed rope.
・Paddles and fins are not allowed. Do not wear anything above the wrists or ankles.
・Must wear swim caps provided by the organizers
・Wetsuit should need under the following conditions:

MTB
・ You cannot make your way other than with riding, carrying and pushing your MTB.
・ The race number provided by the organizer must be attached to the front of your MTB. Do not modify the number by sticking stickers or other items on it.
・ Only MTBs are permitted; road bikes, cyclocross bikes, gravel bikes (drop handlebars), and e-bikes are not permitted. However, cyclocross bikes and gravel bikes are permitted in the long distance category.
・ Only 26-inch/27.5-inch/29-inch wheel sizes are permitted, except for kids.
・ Fasten your helmet strap before you ride your MTB and unfasten it after you get off your MTB.
・ Do not disturb and move to the side as soon as possible when you are being passed, especially when you are on single truck.
・ Drafting is permitted, but do not overtake in dangerous areas.Blocking (obstructing riders behind from overtaking) is prohibited.
・ When you get trouble during the raced, basically you have to fix by yourself. However, parts may be provided by course staff or other riders, but direct hand-over is prohibited.
・ Some parts of the course run parallel to public roads, but the public roads are not part of the course, so never ride on them.　Riding on public roads will result in disqualification.


Run (Triathlon, Duathlon Run part)
・ Do not move forward by any means other than running, walking, crawling, or rolling.
・ Put a provided Race No# on your front. Wearing a race belt is allowed.
・ Do not overtake in dangerous areas.
・ Do not use Stock poles.


Trail run (Trail run only category)

・Always wear the number provided by the organizer on the front. Wearing a race
belt is allowed.

Recommended equipment:
☑Trail running shoes
Since there are places where bamboo forests and rocks are exposed, it is prohibited to run barefoot or in shoes that expose bare feet such as sandals.
☑Trekking poles
Trekking pole with caps is permitted. The use of poles is permitted, but please refrain from using them when there are many athletes, such as immediately after the start.
☑Wear gloves in rope sections.

Required equipment:
☑Bear bell, emergency sheet, headlamp, emergency whistle
☑Sufficient water and food
☑First aid kit (bandages, roll bandages, disinfectant, painkillers, etc.)
☑Smartphone (cell phone)

Transition　
- No one other than the athletes may enter the transition area.
- No riding of MTBs in the transition area. Do not ride MTBs until you leave the area, and dismount before the area.
- Leave gear in the designated area and do not leave items in other people's space.

Understanding the course
- Perform a test run of the course, be sure to attend the race briefing, and make an effort to understand the course.
- Competitors must manage their own laps during the race. Any course errors caused by staff guidance are the responsibility of the athletes.

Cut-off time
- Check at the briefing on the day of the race.

No wearing
- The use of headsets, MP3 players, MD players, radios, selfie sticks, etc. is strictly prohibited during the race.

Penalty
- Shortcuts and other cheating are strictly prohibited.
- Penalties will be determined based on the severity of the violation. The minimum penalty is 2 minutes, and the maximum penalty is disqualification.

Risks of outdoor races
- Learn how to respond to sudden changes in weather during the race, such as lightning, heavy rain, or gusts of wind, fallen trees or branches in the mountains, or encounters with wild animals.

Medical assistance
- If you are forced to drop out (DNF) due to injury, illness, or accident, notify volunteers, staff, sweepers, and medical staff immediately.
- First aid will be provided for injuries and illness during the race, but all other expenses will be at your own risk and expense.

Retirement announcement
- If you withdraw, notify staff or the information tent and return your timing chip.
- If the organizer determines that it is impossible to continue the race due to injury or illness, the organizer has the authority to announce that the racer is withdrawn.

Obligation to return timing chip
- Be sure to return it after finishing. No completion prize will be awarded if the timing chip is lost. If the timing chip is lost, the racer must inform staff or information.
- If the timing chip is not returned (including loss during the race), 10,000 JPY will be imposed. Refusal or failure to pay the fine will result in disqualification (DSQ).

Protests
- No verbal protests will be accepted. All protests submitted in writing will be investigated.
All protests must be submitted in writing within one hour of the finish.
Protesters must submit a written protest with as much detail as possible and a certificate.

Prohibited acts
- Violating or littering the race course or the race compound is also grounds for warning, relegation, disqualification.
- Foul riding or running, unsportsmanlike behavior or use of profane or abusive language is grounds for warning, relegation, disqualification.
- If there is a serious violation such as not following the rules or instructions from the staff, the participant will be disqualified (DSQ) and will not be able to participate in the next tournament.
