The party in Prachatice.

The oldest stage on the circuit is an all-out festival of off-road racing. From the dark peat waters to the technical "beast" of the Bohemian forest, this stop is defined by punchy climbs and a raucous town square finish. It’s where the intensity of the World Cup meets a community that has celebrated the spirit of XTERRA for over two decades.

Arthur Serrières and Alizée Paties Win Czech Opener

With just three names missing from the world's top 10 men, and a shift in dynamics at play in the women’s field, the penultimate Full Distance race was always destined to deliver. But after a full-gas effort through the Šumava forests, it was Arthur Serrières and Alizée Paties who added their names to the winner's list of one of the oldest races on the circuit. Serrières made it official in 2:21:00, while Paties put an end to the women’s battle in 2:46:10.

Jens Emil Sloth Nielsen andJose Ignacio Galvez Ponce completed the podium on the second-to-last Full Distance outing of the pro series, with Kerri-Ann Upham and Marta Menditto stepping onto the podium and adding valuable points to their tally ahead of the Short Track race to come.

Short Track - Story of the Race

A Short Track course in Prachatice made for a global audience, where fast loops and close racing set the stage for round two.
Michele Bonacina led the field out of the water as expected, finding dry land in 5:01.
In the women's swim, Serena Bratti and Emma Ducreux set the pace early, clocking a tied fastest time of 5:47.
The men's bike leg quickly turned into a show for 17-year-old Czech athlete Ondřej Plic, who pushed a pace few could match on home soil.
Alizée Patiès took control early on the women's bike, opening a gap that continued to grow with a fastest split of 25:14.
Italy’s Fredrico Spinazzè stayed on the wheel of the young Czech rider early before dropping off the pace.
Working his way up from 20th position, Jens Emil Sloth Nielsen reeled in the front group, trading places with Plic before leading into T2.
With Patiès holding a clear lead, a tactical battle took shape behind her as Emma Ducreux pushed in second while junior wildcard entry Mila Lantelme began her chase.
Arthur Serrières made his move on the first climb of the run, opening a gap at the front to claim the win with an unmatched 11:05 run split.
Marta Menditto worked her way into striking distance during the final kilometer, setting up a three-way fight for the remaining podium spots.
Max Chané put down a 11:20 run split to edge out Sloth Nielsen for second place, with Nielsen taking third after recording the fastest bike split of 21:02.
Lantelme passed Spoelder and Ducreux on the tail end of the run, only for Menditto to charge through on the final straight, taking second with the fastest run split of 13:27.
Lantelme secured third to complete an all-Team Organicoach podium alongside Patiès and Menditto.
Arthur Forissier finished fourth to hold onto the golden jersey with one stop left in the series.
A name to watch in the years to come, Ondřej Plic crossed in fifth after giving the home crowd the show they wanted for the majority of the race.
Two for two in Czech for both Arthur Serrières and Alizée Patiès, the original winners of the World Cup when the series first launched.
Back from injury earlier this season, Patiès has never looked in better form.
