Into the red dirt of the deep South.

Launching from the spring-fed waters of Double Oak Lake into a maze of legendary red clay and roots. The dense Alabama canopy makes it hard to see who’s ahead and impossible to know who’s behind. A benchmark for more than twenty years, it’s where champions are made or broken.

Top Step for Marta Menditto and Maxim Chané in Alabama

Marta Menditto and Maxim Chané proved untouchable on the red clay of Oak Mountain, taking the win in the Full Distance race to close the show at Stop 4 of the series. Menditto crossed the line in 2:39:52, while Chané finished with a time of 2:18:32 to put a stamp on the only American stop of the tour.

The podium was rounded out by Isla Hedley and Hannah-Lee Young in the women’s race, with Reed Legg and Michele Bonacina taking the final steps for the men. After two days of world-class racing across both the Short Track and Full Distance formats, the series now leaves Alabama behind as the field heads for the familiar stomping ground beneath Italy's Brenta Dolomites.

Australia’s Hannah-Lee Young delivers a power performance on the dirt, clocking the second-fastest ride of the day.
Reigning World Cup Champion Marta Menditto carves through the field to claw her way into the leading pack.
Making just his second elite start, Reed Legg stuns the field with a statement ride a full 38 seconds faster than the rest.
Highest-ranked Maxim Chané finds his way into the leading pack with a strong shift on the rugged Alabama trails.
Nicolas Duré puts down the second-fastest bike time of the day to position himself perfectly before transition.

Menditto does what she does best on her feet, laying down the fastest run split to pressure the front of the race.
Nicolas Duré answers with a blistering run of 00:09:23 to clock the fastest split of the day and systematically close the gap.
