Course Practice

We’ve designed the bike course to cater for all abilities. Whilst the most advanced skills will be rewarded with speed, the course is very accessible and can be undertaken with basic technical skills.

The bike and run course will be marked and open from 10:00 on Friday for practice throughout the weekend.

We encourage you all to ride a practice lap so that you can get the most out of your race. There can be a lot of speed to be had if there are no surprises!

As always, please ensure you adhere to any instructions given to you by event marshals.

If you are practising on Saturday, please stay off the course between 11:00 and 14:00 as the sprint race will be taking place.

There is no access to the lake outside of the designated swim session on Friday at 17:00 and on race day.

Water Quality

The Lake has been throughourly tested for its quality, in the most recent test completed on the 13th of April 2026 by https://swim-safety.co.uk/ has recorded the water quality as 'Excellent'. The water will be tested again prior to the event.

Race Briefing

Whilst not compulsory, there will be a Race Briefing in the event village for the full-distance and Duathlon events on Saturday evening. This will be a great opportunity to cover any questions or queries you may have before the race.

Full Distance and Sprint Triathlons:

The race briefing will be held at 17:00 on Saturday, May 2nd in the race village.

Sprint & Super-sprint Triathlons:

Your race briefing will take place on the startline aproximately 15mins before the start.
