Rules & Info

General Information:

  • Date & Time: August 31th at 8:00 AM

  • Location: Rancho Santa Elena, Hidalgo

  • Distance: 21km

Registration:

  • Deadline: Registration closes July 30th 2025.

  • Age Requirement: Participants must be at least 18 years old.

  • Identification: Photo ID required for packet pick-up.

Race Day Schedule:

  • Start Race Formation: 7:20 AM

  • End Race Formation: 7:55 AM

  • Race Start: 8:00 AM

Race Rules:

  • Course: Marked trails through the desert.

  • Footwear: Trail running shoes recommended.

  • Race Number: Must be visible at all times.

  • Mandatory Equipment: Each runner must carry their own water container (minimum 250 ml) and and emergency whistle.

Checkpoints and Aid Stations:

  • Checkpoints: Located every 5K with water, energy drinks, and first aid.

Safety Rules:

  • Temperature: Use sun protection and wear appropriate clothing for high temperatures.

  • Hydration: Staying hydrated throughout the race is mandatory.

  • Environment: No littering. All waste must be carried to the next checkpoint.

Penalties and Disqualifications:

  • Penalties: 5-minute penalty for minor infractions (e.g., littering, not following the marked course).

  • Disqualifications: Major infractions such as unsportsmanlike conduct, ignoring official instructions, or not carrying mandatory equipment will result in immediate disqualification.

Medical Support:

  • First Aid: Available at the start/finish area and at all aid stations.

  • Emergency Protocols: In case of emergency, contact the nearest race official or aid station.

Additional Information:

  • Results: Preliminary results will be posted online within 24 hours of the race.

  • Awards Ceremony: 11:30 am in Rancho Santa Elena Hidalgo

  • Weather Policy: The race will proceed in any weather conditions, but the organizers reserve the right to modify or cancel the event in case of extreme conditions.
