XTERRA Ruidoso

Join us and be part of a fantastic international event weekend with some of the best athletes from all over the world swimming, biking, and running right in Ruidoso. We are looking for groups or individuals to serve as course marshals and sweeps, help with timing, and hand out recovery at aid stations.

Volunteers will get an event t-shirt, food, and the undying gratitude of the XTERRA family. Please email americas@xterraplanet.com if you or your group are interested in a fun day on the trails.

What is the best way to travel there?

Ruidoso is located in southern New Mexico, between Alamogordo and Roswell. The nearest airport with commercial air service is in Roswell, with International airports in Albuquerque (ABQ) and El Paso (ELP), each about 150 miles away.

What is the refund, cancellation, and referral policies?

Active Refund is available for purchase during registration, and will provide 100% refund of your entry fee if you cancel for any reason up to 48 hours prior to the event.
To submit a refund application, visit refund.active.com. Have your Reference ID handy from your ACTIVE Refund Purchase Information email. Full information can be found HERE.

No refunds or deferrals will be processed outside of Active Refund.

Share your unique referral code (located on the bottom of your event confirmation) with your friends - and if they use it when they register for the event, you save!
You will receive 5% credit for each person that signs up using your code - to a maximum of 5 people:
1 referral = 5% refund
2 referrals = 10% refund
3 referrals = 15% refund
4 referrals = 20% refund
5 referrals = 25% refund

Please allow 7-10 days after the event has ended to receive the referral fees.

XTERRA Youth Tour

The XTERRA Youth Tour is designed to nurture the future champions of XTERRA, providing a platform for young talent to build strength and experience on off-road terrains around the world, and the chance to compete against the world’s best at the XTERRA Youth World Championship.

The XTERRA Ruidoso Sprint Distance Triathlon is an official qualifier race for Youth Athletes (ages 14-19) looking to qualify for the 2025 Youth World Championship in Molveno, Italy. Five slots will be given per youth division:

M/F 14-15 (“Youth A”)
M/F 16-17 (“Youth B”)
M/F 18-19 (“Junior”)
